San Diego

Traveling to San Diego with little to no expectations or plans, I was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of decent surf and a really welcoming community.  If you are looking to be a beach bum for weeks at a time, Ocean Beach is probably the best place you could happen upon.

Ice Lakes

With basically no time off working at a summer camp, we decided to take advantage of our twenty four hours off by hiking to the Alpine Lakes near Silverton, CO known as "Ice Lakes".

Somewhere Between Oregon and Colorado

In April, I was driving out of the Timberline parking lot at Mount Hood and picked up two hitch hiking snowboarders.  After a quick chat, I found out they were camping out for a month and headed back towards Colorado at the same time that I planned on driving there.  A month later we met up at the base of Mount Hood and they jumped in my car for a road trip through the flat lands of Idaho, up the Grand Teton Mountain Pass and up to Summit County Colorado.

A Quick Jaunt Up and Down the Northwestern Coast

Driving up and down the 101 from Portland to Santa Cruz to visit friends this spring.  Ended up meeting up with a friend and his dog on the way near Ashland, Oregon and car caravaning down to Point Reyes together.
